In Navajo culture, First Woman (Áłtsé Asdzą́ą́) is a foundational creator goddess born from yellow corn and clouds in the lower worlds. Together with First Man (Áłtsé Hastiin), she built the world, designed the sacred mountains, and led the people through successive worlds to the surface of the earth.
