Sean McCallum is a husband and father with a passion for the visual arts, especially illustration, painting and drawing. He desires deeply to communicate the beauty of a life of faith lived in and through art making.
His work is often narrative, leaning toward the fantastic with regard to content, color and composition. He enjoys the power of myth as a vehicle for visual storytelling, finding wonder in each unique story as well as common ground in the symbols we share.
You'll find a variety of techniques is his work, ranging from traditional approaches to drawing and painting using charcoal and acrylic, to digital painting, collage and mixed media.
Sean teaches art to high school students at Wheaton Academy. His vision is to partner with students in their development as artists and come along side to spur them on toward the potential of their creative gifts in the context of vocation, service, community art and mission.
He received his MFA from Academy of Art University.
